Patricia
Patricia is a recovering single mom with a worthless degree! But God smiled on her, and with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck, she landed a well-paying job with no sense of fulfillment! But that’s alright since she now has 2 beautiful girls and an amazing husband who light up her life. Patricia is slightly OCD and an anxiety-ridden control freak, but her constant ramblings about ideas for crazy inventions and business ventures keep the family entertained. Be like Patricia.
Janine
Janine used to look like this because of meth. Now she looks like this because of her children. Though she lives down by the river (not in a van), she and her husband have built a quaint oasis for their family, chickens and dog amongst the sometimes sketchy elements of the feather river bottoms. But don’t let her hoodlum past fool you. Janine now works with disabled children and counsels recovering addicts, using her quick wit and personal anecdotes to colorfully illustrate what not to do. She was born with bilateral club feet, and though she struggles with her disability, her humor carries her through the trials of pain and frustration. Janine is a badass. Be like Janine.
Annette
Annette is an incredibly kind hearted mother of three, but don’t let her rosy disposition fool you.  She enjoys the darker side of things and has a bit of kink in her step.  She’s been known to enjoy copious amounts of wine after long days of dealing Coke to local retailers.  Don’t piss this one off…she will end you if you get on her bad side, and since she used to have her own PI business, she literally knows where you live – and will find you.  She’s the perfect combo of warm and crazy, be like Annette.
Deanna
Deanna spent her formative years pursuing theater arts, despite a lack of enthusiasm from her elders. She then left the traditional workforce to pursue her own business as a doula. She found great joy in helping others pursue non-traditional birth plans aimed at the whole health of mom and baby alike. Much like the honey badger, Deanna doesn’t give a shit about fitting into traditional molds. Though she’s fighting the good fight against her own mind-body demons, she’ll put her shit aside in a hot minute to help others. Deanna is brave. In a nutshell, she is a distinctly unique, fun-loving, crazy cat-lady with a big heart and a hard-core motivation for pursuing her passions. Be like Deanna.
Dave and Nedra
Dave and Nedra are the co-creators of the Dawson sisters and often the source of many of the stories on this site. High School sweethearts who married shortly after, they have been together for over 54 years with no signs of slowing.
Dave has never met a task he couldn't do himself, no matter how complicated and makes sure to involves his daughters whenever possible no matter how icky, scary, or dangerous the project may be.
Nedra can light up a room with a smile and a laugh and makes everyone feel like they have been a beloved member of her family forever. She sets an example of patience and understanding that no one else can emulate and has always counted on her faith in God whenever challenges arise.
