A baby's laughter is an angel's voice

What's more fun than kids right? They don't have the same filters as adults, and haven't learned enough about etiquette to worry when they are wholeheartedly expressing themselves. In the picture are Amanda and Charlotte, older and younger daughters of Patricia, and I thought this would be a good time to tell the story of Charlotte's first real laugh. I mean, she's laughed plenty of times before, but not the full blown, can't breathe, hiccuping, this should be on Youtube laugh we heard around Amanda's birthday.
Amanda loves music of many genres and on this night during her teenage years we had gotten her tickets to see (I think it was Linkin Park) with us and her cousin. This was a big event and she was super excited to catch the band and to spend time with family. Unknown to us however, was, that while visiting family the night before, we had all been exposed to a particularly nasty, and fast working variant of the norovirus. This pretty much floored everyone in the house (Except Charlotte, babies have superpowers) but we were still all determined to get to the show. So, buckets in hand, we all hopped into the car to drop off the baby and to pick up Amanda's cousin who lived about a 20 minute drive away. Poor Amanda had the worst of the virus and her stomach was protesting during the entire drive to the neighboring city to the point that she had to use her personal bucket quite a few times. Anyone in this situation knows that retching is not a quiet operation, and while adults may find this distasteful, or at least ignore it, Charlotte decided that Amanda puking was the funniest sound she had ever heard and began to laugh uncontrollably. It was the drive that lasted forever and that I never wanted to end as we were serenaded by Amanda trying to hold it together and Charlotte hyuck hyucking with every squeak and gurgle. We did eventually make it to the concert but were all too sick to go in, so we hawked the tickets and blasted back home to party on Pepto and watch movies until we felt human again.
